Dr. Arwa Badeeb, an engaging and dedicated Assistant Professor of Radiology at King Abdulaziz University, currently holds the esteemed position of President of the Radiological Society of Saudi Arabia. Her distinguished career began at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA, USA, where she completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency and a mini-fellowship in Breast Imaging. She further honed her expertise with a subspecialty in Abdominal Imaging and Interventions from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA, USA.


Arwa's commitment to academic excellence was highlighted when she obtained her diploma from the American Board of Radiology in 2018. She then joined the faculty of King Abdulaziz University, where she has since held roles such as department quality designee, medical student Radiology course coordinator, and member of the Radiology residency committee. Her passion for teaching and quality assurance in radiology practices was recognized when she was awarded the Mentor of the Year in 2022 by her residency program.


As President of the Radiological Society, Arwa is committed to strengthening the radiology community both nationally and internationally. Her team successfully led the society in resuming activities post-COVID-19 fostering strong connections within the industry.


With an enthusiasm that's infectious, Arwa enjoys the intricacies of assessing bowel loops and eagerly anticipates female pelvis reading sessions. Her professional ambition extends to advancing radiology practices by implementing quality standards and promoting imaging appropriateness across Saudi Arabia.


Outside the radiology department, Arwa's creativity thrives in her kitchen where she meticulously bakes engagement cakes, birthday surprises, and health-conscious treats like cookies and brownies, always mindful to use less sugar or natural sweeteners. Currently, she is exploring the dynamic world of sports, with a particular fondness for aerial yoga.
